<div itemprop="description">Grills, Shirley Anne<br /><br /> <br /><br />Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday May 21, 2015 at the age of 50, surrounded by family and loved ones. <br /><br />With her former spouse Larry McMahon, she raised her beloved son T.J. Loving daughter of Thomas Keith Grills and the late Patricia Florence Kernick (nee Turner). Adored sister of Grant Thomas Grills (Cheryl Seymour) and Michael Warren Grills. <br /><br /> <br /><br />Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, December 29, 1964. All of her adult life she was a resident of Kingston. She loved to drive, spent most of her free time visiting family and friends here, in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Woodstock, Ontario. When was wasn't driving she was making quilts to keep people she loved warm and comfortable. She enjoyed working at the Rosemont Inn and Spa for the last few years. Her love, compassion, and strength will be missed by all. True to her nature her final act of kindness was the gift of organ donation to 3 people. <br /><br /> <br /><br /> <br /><br />Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. &amp; Centennial Drive) on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Final places of rest Bethel Cemetery, Tweed, Ontario, and with her mother Patricia in Saint John, New Brunswick.
