<div itemprop="description">Plunkett, William Gerald - Peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Monday, May 9, 2016, in his 69th year our beloved Gerry passed away. He was the dear husband and best friend of Maureen, proud father of Greg (Peggy) Plunkett, adored Grumpa of Abby and Ryan Plunkett, and highly respected son-in-law of Leona (the late George) Cotnam. Dear brother of Norma Jean (the late Murray) Marinoff. He will be greatly missed by his family. He was also the uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeacesed by his parents Norman and Mary Jean (Christmas) Plunkett and sister Bernice (the late George) Raine. <br> <br> <br> <br>Fondly remembered by Lynne and Con Gaudet, Jeannine Tarrant and Don Tarrant. <br> <br>In his younger years Gerry enjoyed playing Participaction baseball and old-timers hockey with the Collins Bay Panters. In recent years his love of sports was playing golf on Wednesday, watching the NFL, NHL and the Toronto Blue Jays baseball games. His special interest was supporting his grandchildren Abby and Ryan in their various activities. <br> <br>He was a Queen’s University graduate (BA’97) and long-time employee of Queen’s. <br> <br>Visitation will be at Gordon Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel, 435 Davis Drive, Friday, May 13, 2016 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. The Liturgy of the Word will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. <br> <br>As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Partners In Mission Food Bank or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. <br> <br> <br>Arrangements entrusted to the GORDON F.
