Jackson, Robert “Bob” George

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) George Jackson on Sunday, October 5th in his 78th year. Bob passed away peacefully at home with loved ones by his side. He is survived by his wife, Ann, of 56 years, daughters Sheri, Tracie (Ron), and Lisa (Jason) and grandchildren Jessica, Wade, Whitney and Spencer. Remembered with love by David Holmes and will be sadly missed by his sisters Shirley Hart, Jane Amey (Howard), sister-in-law Alice Jackson and many nieces and nephews.

Bob worked at Celanese Canada, retiring after 40 years. Over the years he was active in hockey, ball, curling and golf. Bob coached with the local blind curlers for many years. He forged a great many friendships with hundreds of people. He will be deeply missed by many friends and relatives who came to know just how special a man he was. Bob was kind, thoughtful and generous.

Men like Bob don't pass our way too often, as those of us fortunate enough to have called him dad, brother, uncle, friend or grandpa can all attest to.

It is with that in mind that we ask family and friends of Bob to join us on Monday, October 13th from 2 until 4pm at the Cataraqui Golf Club, where Bob was a member for many years, to celebrate his life, share memories and remember just how lucky we were to have such a special person in our lives. A private interment will be held at Harrowsmith Cemetery.

Donations to the Blind Curlers or Hospice Kingston would be greatly appreciated.
