Conners, Raymond

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to an incredible Husband, Father and Grandfather. At the age of 74, Ray peacefully left his 10 year battle with cancer on Saturday June 4, 2016. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife, Helen and three children Tammy & Tom Prewer, Don Conners, Lonny & Lisa Conners. Very proud grandfather of James Conners (Erin), Jennifer & Elliott Simpkins, Krista Prewer (Tom). He will also be sadly missed by his companion, Pepper. Predeceased by parents Cecil & Eleanor Conners, and sister Elaine. Survived by brothers Jack, Tom & Brian, and sisters Joyce, Leona, & Janice. Also survived by brother-in-law, Dave Snider. Missed dearly by many extended family members and friends.

In keeping with Ray’s wishes, he has been cremated and the family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Drive, on Friday June 10th, 2016 from 11:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. Memorial Service following in our Chapel. Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #560 from 2-6 p.m. Private Interment to be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the University Hospital Kingston Foundation (U.H.K.F.)-Cancer or to Saint Elizabeth CCAC would be greatly appreciated. The family is grateful for the phenomenal care that Raymond received from both these facilities-along with all staff at KGH. The professional health care that was extended to him, enabled our family to remain informed, and comfortable during a very difficult time.
