Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital, with his family at his side, on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband to Carole Simoneau and predeceased by his first wife Helen (1999). Loving father of Michael (Liz Mowat) and Rick. Loving step father of Leanne Moran (Paul Rodrigues), Kim Redmond (Jeff), Pamela Hammond (Todd) and Jennifer Kasaboski (Craig). Dear Grandpa to Ashley, Victoria, Ryan, Cory, Kelly, Megan, Allison, Taralynne, Brooke, Jacob and Madelyn. Retired from Air Canada as the Ottawa District Sales Manager after an illustrious 32 year career.
Family and friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME - TOWNSHIP CHAPEL 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Dr.) on Monday, October 10th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 88 Patrick Street Kingston on Tuesday, October 11th at 10:30 a.m.. Cremation with the interment of the urn at St. Bernard's RC Cemetery, Finch, Ontario at a later date.
