<div itemprop="description">O'Shea, Laurie, June 11, 1943 - August 19, 2015<br /><br /><br />Peacefully, at Saint Mary's of the Lake Hospital with family at her side on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.<br /><br />Beloved daughter of the late Gerald O'Shea and Rita (Pickett) O'Shea, Laurie is survived by her sisters Charlene Larson (Gary), Mary Lynn O'Shea, Elin O'Shea and Rose Doyle (Allan). Laurie was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews Liza Nelson (Peter), David Larson (Jamie), Molly Doyle (Chris Gray) and Patrick Doyle (Emily Mundy) and to her great nieces and nephews Evan and Ben Larson and Nicole and Jack Nelson. Laurie enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a teacher with the Kingston Separate School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Roman Catholic Separate School Board. Friends and family will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Dr., on Sunday, August 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd., Monday, August 24th at 11:00am, to be followed by a reception in the church hall. Rite of committal prayers will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Wolfe Island. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario and Palliative Care at St. Mary's, as well as Father Leo Byrne, for their care for Laurie.As an expression of sympathy, donations in Laurie's memory may be made to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation or to the charity of your choice.<br /><br /></div>
