Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Thursday, September 25, 2014 in his 84th year. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Zakos of 39 years. Loving father to Marie (Barb) Miller-Hollingsworth. Cherished grandfather to Jennifer Lynn (Larry) Wartenberg, Anna Marie (Bill) Vincent, Melissa (Andrew) Beckett, great- grandfather to Anthony (Sara), Brian, Victor, Casi, Cody, Dawn Marie and great-great -grandfather to Jordyn Marie, Joshua. Dear brother to George (Joyce) Zakos and Elaine (Robert) Screaton. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephew.
Jim retired in 1991 from Kingston Penitentiary after 27 years of service.
Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Daivs Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Monday September 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Final place of rest Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
