<div itemprop="description">LUCAS, GERARD "Gerry"<br><br>After a courageous battle with a brief illness, at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, May 13th, 2016 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Stella (McColgan). Cherished father of David Gerard Lucas (Trina Martin-Lucas), Peter Lucas and Katharine Faaren (Greg). Adored Grandfather of Maxwell Lucas, Samantha Lucas, Alex Lucas, Anna Faaren, Madison Lucas and Ryan Faaren. Predeceased by his parents, Leslie Gerard Lucas and Mary Winifred (Shepherd) both resting in the Trough of Bowland, UK. Dear brother of Peter Lucas (Margery Dickens).<br>Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins, Joan and Carol.<br><br>Family and friends will gather at St. Barnaby's Church, Brewer's Mills, for a Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 19th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Barnaby's Parish Cemetery. <br><br>For those wishing, donations to Friends of the Lake District (UK), Ontario Wildlife Rescue and the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by his family. <br><br>A special thank you to the many nurses, doctors and staff of Kingston General Hospital. The family would like to sincerely thank all of their dear friends and extended family for the love and support they have received at this difficult time.<br> <br>Despite this loss, we are very grateful he did not suffer, we had time to say good bye and he had one last weekend on his deck.<br><br>Online condolences with Sharing Memories at www.gftompkinstownship.ca.</div>
