George Patrick Cotnam of Kingston, beloved husband for 63 years of Leona (Mayhew). Dear father of Maureen (Gerry) Plunkett. Chosen grandfather of Greg (Peggy) Plunkett and &quot;Grampa George&quot; of Abby and Ryan Plunkett. Survived by sister Elaine (the late Don) Risto and sister-in-law Eileen (the late John) Capulak. Predeceased by his parents George and Martha (Giroux) Cotnam, by brothers and sisters Frank (the late Mary) Cotnam, Cecil (Therese) Cotnam, Ken (the late Allie) Cotnam, Gladys (the late Vince Murphy and the late Mike) Courneya, John (Helen) Cotnam, Alice (the late Alby) Castle, Harold (Sheila) Cotnam, Gerald (Claire) Cotnam, Joan (the late Del) Desjardins and Betty (the late Ken) Griffin. Also sister-in-law Mary (the late Frank) Fayrick. George was the uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families. <br /> <br /><br />George was an employee of Alcan Canada Works for 38 years, was a long time board member of the Alcan/Unity Credit Union and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. <br /><br /><br />Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and personal support workers at Rideaucrest Gardenwalk Terrace for the kindness and love that they showed to George over the past 17 months. <br /><br /> <br /><br />Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church 392 Palace Road, Kingston one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Rite of committal prayers in St. Mary's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Partners in Mission Food Bank or to the charity of one&rsquo;s choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Gordon F.
