<div itemprop="description">Jackson, Dale Iris <br />n&eacute;e Dixon (Lloyd) <br /> <br />Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at the age of 61. <br />Loving mother of Lisa Mitchell (Randy) and Mark Lloyd (Melissa). Cherished Nana of Damian and Maranda, and Mark's children. Predeceased by Bob Lloyd, her parents Roy and Doris and her brother Lyle Dixon. Survived by her brothers Brian Dixon (Sharon), Brent Dixon (Darlene), and Terry Dixon; her sisters Valerie Lapierre, Sandra Geris, Syndi Paquette (Bernie), Holly Dufresne (Marc) and her sister-in-law Pauline. Sadly missed by her neighbour and best friend Bonnie Joy, her uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins in Cornwall. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the members of the BCAK for their support (Bev, Sylvia, Mary, Allison, and Elaine), as well as Dr. Danforth, Dr. Mates, Dr. Harle, Nancy Benn, Dr. Frank, and the staff of palliative care at St. Mary's. <br /> <br />Dale started as an ECE teacher with the Limestone District School Board, and then went on to open her own home daycare business in 2001 in Glenburnie. She dedicated her life to working with children and she leaves behind fond memories of all the children and families she cared for. She worked as a part-time employee at Wal Mart in Kngston where she met some caring friends who also supported her through her cancer battles. <br /> <br />Visitation at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME - Township Chapel, 435 Davis Drive (Taylor-Kidd Blvd. at Centennial Dr.) on Friday, November 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with a reception immediately following in the Trillium Reception Room. As expressions of sympathy, contributions by cheque towards a trust fund for Damian and Maranda Mitchell would be appreciated by the family.</div>
